Times seem darkened,
when we see a loved one hearkened.
To their heavenly home,
and we feel so alone.
But glad tidings fill our hearts,
knowing this one fulfilled his part.
Joy in Gods' eyes so brightly shone,
in His place of heaven, called home.
I can see the delight in Gods' eyes,
as the angels ready this loved ones' prize.
They'll swing those pearly gates open wide,
for one who has walked this earth by Gods' side.
The angels are sprinkling rose petals of gold,
making ready the path to joy untold.
Finishing the preparations for this, Gods' bride,
as he crosses chilly Jordan's cold tide.
Then the Saviors' face he will see,
as He stands from His throne on glassy sea.
There he'll live forever in his new abode,
when with open arms God says, "Welcome Home."
