It is not. The plan found in the book of Acts, chapter two, verse thirty eight is just as real and true today as it was on the day of Pentecost. But I have a personal commission to God that I would include this great, simple and true plan of salvation in my works. Why are there so many religions today? On the day of Pentecost, the plan was laid out as understood by the Apostle Peter, getting his direction straight from the Lord in Matthew 28:19. The plan was changed in the council of Nicea in 325 AD, and required for each and every person to change to its false beliefs, and that, under penalty of death. Thus the inquisitions and persecutions. When Luther nailed his 99 thesis on the Church at Wittenburg, he came out from under many of that false religions ways, traditions and false teachings. Another pulled out from him creating a whole new church group, although they threw off even more, the still retained the pagan belief of baptism. And that pagan trinity belief floods the world today. But I cry out against it and lodge my opposition for it continually. In the early 1900's a group were studying and praying and desiring of God the truth and salvation spoken of in the New Testament. That revelation came and the Latter Rain was poured out. People began being filled as they were on the day of Pentecost. Soon the revelation of Jesus Name Baptism came and thousands, nay, hundreds of thousands were baptized and filled. So, while the characters and the story is but a figament of my imagination, the last chapter where Will and Sharon are converted, is real as rain and being repeated on a daily basis. I hope and pray your own hunger for something more than 'religion' is kindled, and you seek out the church that preaches the same message as Peter preached on that momentous day. Blessings ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
